Her work focuses on building a rigorous bridge between veterinary and human medicine, strengthening experimental design, biological interpretation and ethical research practice.

Leda brings a strong background in microbiology, parasitology and neurobiology, with emphasis on neuroinvasive and inflammatory processes of the central nervous system. Her experience in experimental models of Chagas disease and toxoplasmosis, along with her work on cognitive alterations, behavior and immune response, strengthens NPBC’s research lines in neuroinflammation, neuroinfection and comparative neuropathology.
